About Us
At TLC Nursery, we are dedicated to creating a nurturing, safe, and inspiring environment where every child can thrive. Established in 2007 by Christine Singh, our mission has always been to provide quality childcare that combines the comforts of a home-from-home experience with stimulating outdoor learning.

We understand that each child is unique, which is why our experienced and friendly team works closely with families to meet every child’s needs, helping them to grow in confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
A Holistic Approach to Development
Our approach goes beyond traditional childcare, offering a holistic development experience through fun, play, and exploration. With activities ranging from arts and crafts to storytelling sessions at the local library, we foster creativity and curiosity in every child.
Outdoor Learning and Exploration
Our spacious outdoor areas allow children to play freely, whether it’s running on the grassy fields, joining in on forest school activities, or enjoying our weekly “Wellness Wednesday” yoga sessions. For outings, we have a 17-seater minibus, enabling safe, enriching trips to expand our little ones’ horizons.
Commitment to Safety and Security
Safety and dependability are central to everything we do. All our staff are trained in paediatric first aid, child protection, health and safety, and basic food hygiene, with a designated officer on-site at all times. Our facility is equipped with secure entry systems and 24-hour CCTV, providing peace of mind for parents.

Recognised for excellence, TLC Nursery is a proud member of the Early Years Organisation, a ‘Best of the North’ award-winner, and a finalist in Family First’s Centre of Excellence for Childcare.
Preparing for the Future
As a feeder nursery for respected local primary schools, we help prepare children for the next step in their educational journey with a balanced approach to early learning. Whether through hands-on discovery, social interactions, or guided learning, TLC Nursery is a place where every child can develop the skills and confidence they need for a bright future.
Our After School Club
T.L.C run a school collection service from local schools in the area. There is a 17 seater mini bus on site to facilitate school pick ups and spontaneous outings to the library and local parks in the community.
Our after school club is a home from home for children led by a qualified, passionate, and enthusiastic Leader and assistants. Each day there is a different activity ranging from; ball games, table top activities, cooking, creative crafts, construction, den building and many more! Activities are rotated each term.
T.L.C Afterschool creates a quiet space for children to unwind after a busy school. There is also an opportunity to complete homework if required.
T.L.C Summer Scheme
TLC Summer scheme has a wide range of activities for children ages 5 -12 with flexible Pay as You Go daily booking sessions available.
Each week there is a different exciting theme, ensuring plenty of variety for all children.
Each week consists of planned sports and creative activities, accompanied with themed games and free play.
There are spontaneous outings which include trips to the movies, bowling, minigolf and the zoo.
There really is something for everyone!
